Fremont, CA. - April
30, 1999 - Macrotron Systems, Inc., a world class, ISO 9002
registered, privately held Engineering Services Company with Design,
Assembly and Test facilities in Fremont announced today that it has
developed PC133 SDRAM DIMMs. This is a natural extension from its
popular PC66 and PC100 products. The PC133 DIMMs conform to Intel's
registered PC SDRAM DIMM and JEDEC SDRAM DIMM specifications. The
upgrade from PC100 to PC133 offers an improvement in performance,
while maintaining the same form factor, making the transition
evolutionary. The efficiencies gained from producing and testing the
PC66 and PC100 can be utilized on the PC133 making it cost effective
from introduction. Macrotron will utilize its existing multiple
Schlumberger S-90 memory test systems for both qualification and
production test ensuring consistency between samples and production
quantities, stated Gordon Ting, Vice President of Engineering. Both
parametric and functional tests will be performed to guarantee
133MHz-bus speed and compatibility of the Macrotron PC133 DIMMs with
the Intel Pentium II processor. Macrotron's PC133 DIMMs are available
in 64MB, 128MB and 256MB using the widely available SDRAM devices.
The single data rate PC133
modules will be upgraded to the faster double data rate (DDR) version
later this year.
